Welcome to our new Root Expo 2026 news section.

This platform empowers us to write our content using MDX—meaning we get the standard ease of markdown combined with the power of embedding interactive, customized structural elements (Astro components) right inside the text!

The Vibe We Are Going For

We aim for a dark-themed, premium aesthetic. Our new components such as Button and Card fit seamlessly into this overall layout. We also wanted the capability to insert photos right in the middle of the text:

Why Astro?

  1. Performance: Astro outputs zero JavaScript by default, enabling extremely fast loading speeds.
  2. Content Collections: The type-safe schema guarantees that every news post has all the required data—like title, description, and pubDate.
  3. Tailwind CSS Integration: Using the new Tailwind v4 setup with @theme configurations makes keeping a consistent aesthetic simple.

We expect our Recruiting rate to be the highest ever in 2026!
